HEQS was established in 2007. With advanced market sense and strong manufacturing support, HEQS has been quickly developing into one of the largest Furniture suppliers in Australia. We have an open position for a Paralegal / Human Resource Assistant to join our growing team.

**Paralegal Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Preparing legal HR and real estate documents and contracts
- Responsible for reviewing, tracking, and monitoring legislation that impacts the company’s products and/or processes and updating leadership with timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business.
- Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations.
- Assisting with legal litigation/disputes in relation to a commercial contract, employment or product-related disputes.
- Legal research, fact gathering and information retrieval.
- Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
- Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
- Gathering and analyzing statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, documents and other data.

**Human Resource Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Serve as a point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators.
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefit documentation.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
- Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
- Eligibility & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related (required).
- 2 years of experience as an HR Assistant (required).
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel and related business and communication tools.
- Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies. (preferred)
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Strong decision-making & problem-solving skills with independent decision-making ability
- Ability to connect with people throughout all levels of organization
- Excellent record keeping skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Internship, Contract, Permanent

**Salary**: $160.00 - $250.00 per day
