**The Role**
Our work encompasses an array of policy and program development and management roles that will enable you to utilise your abilities to the utmost - and develop new ones that will enrich your future prospects. Examples of the impacts you could make include:
- Strengthening our policy settings and ties with the US and UK to support Australia’s nuclear powered submarines and other advanced technology projects.
- Working with our Pacific partners to improve regional security.
- Affect Australia’s national interests.
- Assisting and guiding Australian defence industry to find suitable export markets to improve
- Australia’s economic resilience.
**About our Team**
We are a fully integrated civilian-military workforce, drawing on high-quality and motivated people from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines who embody Defence and Australian Public Service values. We offer flexible working arrangements and a range of formal and informal professional development opportunities. While we offer a high degree of flexibility in the way we work, each position is located in Canberra. As such, successful applicants from outside Canberra, would need to move to Canberra if successful.
