**Position**:
This role will lead a small team in Sydney that is the consulting team from the day-to-day operations, manpower planning to recruitment; from talent development to succession planning for all Fashion Group maisons in Oceania.

The successful individual will be the advisor on compliance related to employment, provide education of FairWorks to stakeholders which is a key component of the position. He/She will be the lead on all human resources operational matters through working with the regional team based in Singapore.

**Job responsibilities**:
HR Operations
- Advise on all people related regulations and compliance matters including but not limited to prevailing and anticipated changes with Fair Work
- Work closely with Regional HR Operations team for all matters including but not limited to HRIS and payroll vendor. Work hand in hand to understand challenges and brainstorm solutions in an open and transparent manner so that the regional team has full transparency to provide solutions
- Educate stakeholders for the incorporations of the people related regulations and compliance into the day to day, e.g. rosters, onboarding and offboarding, etc.
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations issues across all Fashion Group Maisons, providing guidance on complex cases such as disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution, ensuring alignment with local labor laws and company policies.
- Take charge of regular reporting through liaison with regional HR team
- Take part in discussion with external consultants like lawyer and auditors
- Responsible for employee onboarding and offboarding whenever needed

Business Partnering
- Liaise with regional HR teams for manpower needs and structures that are better fit for the maisons
- Advise manpower risks & opportunities with consideration of costs and productivity
- Build organisational capabilities through talent development, and advise on organization design
- Build strong partnership with business stakeholders and the regional HR team to drive HR initiatives
- Fully responsible for the build of HR budgets & forecasts, and the HR expenditure. Analyse the spend and understands impact to business.
- Formulate HR procedures with best practices that relate for the growth of the organization together with the regional team
- Navigate the needs of each individual maison to provide solutions that may be unique to the maison, or when applicable, an unified approach among Fashion Group
- Lead the communication, implementation and measures of key talent initiatives

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
- Keep abreast of talent trends
- Ensure a readily available pool of talents are in place to facilitate business growth
- Anticipate talent movement and new positions with talent mapping for key positions
- Advise line managers and regional HR teams on the market trend of talents insights including local employment practices and changes

Talent Development & Learning, Engagement
- Identify training and development needs and support the growth of existing talents
- Work with business leaders and regional HR partners to drive key talent development and retention
- Develop employee engagement initiatives to nurture an engaged and DE&I culture
- Drive and facilitate the new way of performance management
- Take part in the annual talent review and OMR management, succession planning review

Compensation & Benefits
- Work closely with regional HR team for C&B trends, retail commission, and relevant packages

Others
- Develop the local HR teams to be all rounded human resources practitioners
- Collaborate with the regional HR team in Singapore for the different human resources topics, from HR business strategies, manpower planning, talent development to human resources operations to envision a regional brainbox
- Drive transversal projects across functions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Ad hoc projects as assigned

**Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in any business discipline
- 15+ years of experience as human resources generalist with good exposure to business partnering and talent management, ideally from the retail industry and a matrix organisation
- Well versed with compliance (e.g. Fair Work) and human resources practices in Australia/Oceania (required)
- Strong stakeholder engagement with ability to work in a matrix and diverse environment
- Resilient and a true team player
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, people management, good communications, organized and a self-starter, good with numbers
- Moderate business travelling required within Oceania, travel within APAC region may be required
