**Role description**:
This is a unique opportunity to join the largest team of consulting Façade Engineers in Sydney and become part of the core leadership team during an exciting time of cultural change and growth. You will guide, manage, grow and contribute to our pipeline of projects across our Buildings sector both locally and interstate.
**Role accountabilities**:
- Performing investigation, analysis and design activities in line with client and Arcadis specifications, national standards and codes of practice;
- Using your knowledge of client business and market to provide input and a competitive focus during the tender process;
- Contributing to the resolution of technical issues on projects and providing technical guidance to other team members;
- Champion innovation in technical issues, problem solving and the culture of the team;
- Being a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, providing expertise, assisting through technical decision-making, and optioneering with project changes; and
- Building effective and enduring relationships with other teams and technical disciplines, Arcadis offices and external organisations to foster co-operation and maximise cross-sell and trade-up opportunities.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
First and foremost you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned leader in your field with credible industry ties and you are experienced in diagnostics and remediation on façade systems to Australian (preferable), US, and UK standards. You will come to us with some of the following skills:
- Broad experience in typical façade procurement approaches in Australia and with design and documentation to suit the procurement approaches;
- A collaborative, enthusiastic leadership style - you create and nurture highly engaged teams and knowledge share with engineers at all levels;
- Skilled in analysis using structural design packages;
- Knowledgeable in structural aspects of façade design; material selection; durability; and weather-proofing design philosophy;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including report preparation; and
- You are a practicing engineer with Chartered status.
