Queensland Cotton (QC) is part of Olam Agri and our purpose is to Proudly Transform Food, Feed and Fibre, for a more sustainable future. QC has been supporting Australian agriculture for 100 years and operates in multiple products, across multiple geographies. The largest and original business is in cotton & cottonseed, however we have grown the portfolio now to chickpeas, mung beans and sorghum in Qld/NSW, and Grains, Cereals and other Pulse commodities in SA & VIC. Our Olam Agri colleagues across 30 plus countries, handle dozens of other commodities too.

**About the opportunity**

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to join in a back-office capacity to support the Pulse & Grains Trading desk. This role offers you the chance to immerse yourself in contract, stock and physical position management, but also gain invaluable experience and insight into Pulse & Grain commodity trade flows and pricing mechanisms.

This could open doors to future growth and set you up for a possible career in commodity trading, if that’s what you are keen to do

**A bit about you**
- You have 1-3 years agriculture/commodity experience in accumulation, logistics or trading. Maybe you have worked as Trade or Logistics Coordinator or Trade Assistant previously.
- You most certainly understand the Grains & Pulses supply and value chain.
- You don’t shy away from problem-solving and identifying opportunities as they arise. This could include developing and establishing suitable processes that will enable the growth of our business.
- You will most certainly be autonomous, self-driven and curious.
- You have great interpersonal and communication skills.
- You will know your way around the Microsoft Office suite, are comfortable with data analysis and pride yourself on your attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP will be highly regarded.
