Carbon farming is a key strategic focus for PenAgri, and following the recent acquisitions of additional farmland, the Company is committed to a rapid development of sequestration projects that integrates with sustainable and commercial farming operations.

**Position Overview**

Carbon farming is a key strategic focus for PenAgri, and following the recent acquisitions of additional farmland, the Company is committed to a rapid development of sequestration projects that integrates with sustainable and commercial farming operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Designing soil sampling plans and analyse results in line with best practice crop and pasture production.
- Developing crop and pasture production/agronomic strategies and advise farm managers around implementation.
- Analyse environmental risks and factors which effect crop and pasture production and develop strategies to manage these risks
- Develop long term agronomic strategies to improve production efficiencies and methods to overcome potential agronomic and environmental problems as they develop.
- Experience in carbon farming (tree and soil), environmental monitoring/compliance, land management and mixed farming agriculture (grain and sheep)
- Demonstrated knowledge of carbon credit policy and regulatory frameworks at Federal and State Government levels, coupled with the ability to conduct ongoing policy analysis and interpretation
- Administrative skills including experience in managing budgets and financial reporting
- Skills and experience in mapping software programs
- Proven track record of working with farming teams in a practical and common-sense manner

**Core Capabilities**
- Work history post university studies
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and work with peers and stakeholders
- Proven skills in issue management and resolving issues between and for stakeholders
- Negotiation skills and diplomatic persona.
- Post graduate qualifications in environmental or agriculture science
- Willingness to work out of scheduled hours and travel as required
- Affinity and empathy with sustainable primary production and climate solutions
