Outback Carbon Pty Ltd is responsible for the analysis and origination of the company’s carbon compliance solutions. Outback Carbon has successfully developed carbon farming projects, and we are seeking a **Carbon Technical Advisor **to join our growing Perth office team of experienced professionals on a fulltime basis.

Reporting to the General Manager - WA Projects, you will:

- Delivering on-the-ground carbon development activities for new and existing Carbon farming projects utilizing a range of methodologies including plantation forestry, environmental plantings, or HIR/IFLM.
- Involvement in feasibility assessments including using the software tool FullCAM, development of project approval documents and CER project registrations.
- Assist in the development of management plans, offset reports and independent audits.
- Project management in line with the CFI Act, using the Clean Energy Regulator’s project portal and ensuring projects comply with methods, regulations, guidelines and codes.
- Undertake field-based activities in regional and remote areas, including activities such as vegetation monitoring and site inspections.
- Utilizing a range of technology in monitoring natural land systems and capturing data effectively and efficiently.
- Project management across the lifecycle of carbon projects.
- Manage interactions with different stakeholders with different backgrounds and experiences.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you’ll possess the following skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in agribusiness, environmental, agricultural, soil science or a related discipline.
- Highly developed and excellent technical report writing and data analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and ensure a high level of data management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including farmers, pastoralists, Government agencies, contractors and in some instances native title holders.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Mapping and GIS systems (ArcGIS).
- Demonstrated interest in restoration ecology, reforestation and healthy landscapes.
- Experience in the carbon industry or carbon methods would be highly advantageous.
- Able to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
- Current C class driver’s license and experience and willingness to undertake field work.
