HSBC Australia is seeking a Risk and Control Manager - Change Execution, to join the Chief Controls Team within the Wealth and Retail Business. This role reports into the Senior Manager Resilience Risk, and is a newly created role which will ensure new and changing products, services and initiatives are implemented in line with relevant frameworks and policies. In this role you will be responsible for providing practical risk advisory to the business in regards to new and existing change and transformation assessments, and recommend risk mitigation measures.
The role is pivotal in providing integrated risk support across Wealth and Retail Business, whilst promoting a risk culture as it relates to change and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the business to develop and define direction as it relates to change execution
- Oversee effective design of controls for new products, services and initiatives
- Provide practical risk advisory to the business in regards to new and existing change and transformation assessments, and recommend risk mitigation measures
- Cultivate and enforce strict Non-financial Risk Culture in partnership with second line of defence
- Conduct continual assessment of execution risks across Wealth and Retail Banking’s Non-Financial Risks and report key matters and updates into relevant forums and committees
- Training and coaching of broader teams to conduct change execution assessments as well as making recommendations to control design
- Work closely with the broader Chief Control Team to ensure execution of changes are considered within Risk and Control Assessments
- The role involves facilitating the effective collaboration and alignment with the AUH Transformation, Product, Channel, Technology Teams, as well as the WPB Senior Management
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years related experience
- The ability to be dynamic and positive to embrace internal and external changes to regulatory requirements
- Able to demonstrate leadership of Non-financial risk and control matters through transformation
- Understanding of the financial services industry (preferably in retail and wealth)
- Experience in maintaining effective stakeholder relationships across all levels
- University graduated preferably with a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related discipline
