**The opportunity**
The purpose of this role is to support the Super & Retirement business in effectively identifying, managing and reporting on its risks and controls to enable the Director, Super & Retirement to have confidence that risks are managed effectively within risk appetite and in support of the Superannuation Trustee’s strategy and business plan.
**How you will make an impact**
This role will focus on supporting the Director, Superannuation and Retirement in managing the end-to-end risk and control environment for the Superannuation & Retirement Division. To achieve this outcome, this is a highly visible business facing role, you are responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will be expected to provide risk expertise to the Super & Retirement Division in relation to the identification, assessment, and management of risk and drive a strong risk culture that helps achieve business objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent proficiency in the following capabilities:
- Responsible for maintaining primary business relationships for assigned businesses within the Super & Retirement Division.
- Support oversight and assurance of the control environment supporting the Superannuation and Retirement Division and the support functions that impact its operations.
- Support regular monitoring and management of risks within risk appetite.
- Implement, maintain and/or coordinate reviews of assigned risk governance frameworks or standards for the Super & Retirement Division, ensuring that they are operating effectively within the wider AMP Group frameworks.
**What you will bring to the role**
You should be able to demonstrate competency in the following areas;
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience and proven performance in risk management, providing risk advice as well assisting in designing and implementing operational risk controls, controls testing and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience/understanding of Insurance within Super is highly regarded
- Strong understanding and experience within financial services industry (ideally within Superannuation and/or Insurance) and knowledge of current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Proven ability to understand operational and compliance risks inherent or emerging in a business, to assess the level of risk, and to develop and execute plans with business buy-in to mitigate risks.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining effective business relationships at all levels, whilst remaining independent.
