Disability support workers at Care Provisions Australia are required to help individuals with a disability with a range of daily tasks in the Northern and Western suburbs of Melbourne. These include assisting with personal care, mobility support, shopping tasks, food preparation, housework tasks, community access and the coordination of social events.

A support worker role with Care Provisions will provide you with on the job training, development opportunities and flexible working hours. You will join a team of other caring support workers with the ability to mentor and guide you.

**Support workers will**:

- Be committed and empathic
- Be compassionate and kind
- Have a genuine interest in helping others

**Experience, qualification and other requirements**:

- At least six months experience as a Support Worker
- Evidence of Australian Citizenship, permanent residency, or work rights
- Current Australian Driver’s License and your own reliable car. Car insurance is mandatory
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Police Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module, or a willingness to complete the module
- Comprehensive car insurance
- Reliable and roadworthy car
- An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- The ability to write case notes clearly, and concisely
- A Cert 3 or 4 in Disability or Aged Care (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Shift work

COVID-19 considerations:
Care Provisions complies with health directives from the department of health and provide PPE accordingly.

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
