**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Prepare documentation including formal notices for referral of matters to State and Commonwealth entities (and complainants and practitioners where necessary).
- Manage enquiries in relation to referral matters, from agencies and from the public/practitioners to promote seamless service delivery and quality outcomes.
- Provide feedback on complaint handling processes to maximise effectiveness and efficiency in dealing with health service complaints.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Provide a high level of customer service by effectively communicating, advising, and working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to maximise effectiveness and efficiency in dealing with the health service complaints.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic record keeping.
- Escalate matters to the Principal Complaints Officer and Director Assessment and Resolution as appropriate.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and business excellence through sharing ideas for improvements in relevant functional areas.
