**About the Role**
You will play a crucial role in supporting women referred to our service and improving outcomes for families. You will provide biopsychosocial evidenced based assessments of substance use, attachment style, parenting capacity, mental health, general health and other psychosocial factors. You will then develop a patient-centred case formulation and therapeutic management plan, based on best practice clinical decision making. You will provide flexible appointments, either at outpatient clinics, centre-based appointments and/or home visiting services within the Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service home visiting geographical area.

Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service eagerly awaits the addition of this exciting position. We provide on-site orientation and training, specialised clinical supervision, professional development, and consultation with Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services clinical leaders, Medical Officers and our Allied Health Lead. We ensure connectedness and support through mentorship, daily huddles and regular clinical reviews, with a robust, individually tailored orientation program.

**Where you'll be working**
Substance Use in Pregnancy and Parenting Service (SUPPS) is a multidisciplinary team of nurse/midwives and social workers providing comprehensive care and support to individuals facing substance use challenges, from pregnancy to children aged two years. Our focus includes early intervention treatment, education, and specialised services for pregnant women and families, and those affected by child protection, domestic violence, trauma and comorbid mental health issues.

**About You**
We are looking for an Allied Health professional who is:

- Demonstrates values of cultural respect in accordance with HNE Health's Closing the Gap strategy.
- Experienced in drug and alcohol treatment, or willingness to learn
- A compassionate team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- An integral member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in child protection legislation and working with DCJ, including mandatory reporting duties.
