**Job Description** About this opportunity**

The position is a full-time, fixed-term contract with a duration of 12 months.

The Planning & Purchasing Assistant interacts with all production and warehouse teams and site personnel reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. In this role, you will conduct the planning and purchasing activities of the plant to ensure all customer requirements for a reliable supply of product are met in accordance with forecasts and orders in the optimum way.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Safety leadership of team and actively promoting improvements to safety systems across all equipment and production lines.
- Update production schedules to align sales forecasts, plant capabilities, inventory, raw material supply, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with managers (Production Manager, Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Customer Service) for detailed machine scheduling and monitor production output, inventory, customer orders, and material supplies.
- Review delivery schedules, conduct weekly/monthly resin forecast reviews, and manage manufacturing orders and labor requirements.
- Assist in the sites inventory stocktake schedule.
- Responsible for purchasing all production components and site consumables.
- Create and track purchase orders (daily), communicate ETAs for incoming materials, and maintain purchasing records (SAP and Coupa).
- Receival of bulk resin deliveries and GR into SAP and resolve (Esker) invoices daily.

**Your skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- Atleast (5) years’ experience in a Planning leadership role within a 24/5 manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with SAP or any similar system.
- Personal drive and results-orientation.
- Ability to work outside standard hours when required.
- Visible belief and demonstrated leadership in a Zero Harm culture.
- Ability to remain resilient, calm and composed when under pressure.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Planning / Supply Chain Management
