**The role**
Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for governance and executive support? The Bradfield Development Authority (BDA) is seeking a highly skilled **Manager, Board Secretariat** to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-level executive and secretariat support to the Board, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and other committees, enabling well-informed decision-making aligned with legislative instruments and government processes.
As the Manager, Board Secretariat, you will be responsible for managing corporate knowledge and records, preparing high-level communications and correspondence, and overseeing the development and review of corporate governance materials. Your expertise will support the CEO and Board in decision-making, and you will act as a key point of contact for advice related to governance, ethical behaviour, and compliance. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the Authority’s compliance with policy requirements and to maintain effective communication with stakeholders and the Executive Leadership Team.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the ARC, the Board, the Office of the CEO, and executive staff.
- Present complex information clearly and concisely and manage complex communications involving multiple and divergent viewpoints.
- Undertake objective, critical analysis to draw accurate conclusions and develop practical solutions, considering the broader business context.
- Remain composed and act constructively in highly pressured and unpredictable environments, providing frank and honest advice.
- Model the highest standards of ethical and professional behaviour, promoting a culture of integrity within the organisation.
- Ensure effective planning, coordination, and control methods are in place for project management, considering interdependencies between projects.
- Design processes and policies based on the customer’s point of view and needs, using data to monitor and improve customer service delivery.
**What is an essential requirement**:
- Degree in a relevant Business Management/Administration discipline or relevant senior experience.
- Experience providing high level Secretariat services and/or experience liaising with senior executives to deliver outcomes.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, particularly in matters of great political sensitivity, strict confidentiality and/or potential controversy.
- Practical knowledge of the working of government and its processes.
