**About the team**

The Office of the CEO is responsible for supporting and enabling the CEO by providing high-level strategic and operational support on a range of complex business and corporate issues. The Centralised Secretariat team is located within the Office of the CEO, and is responsible for the coordination and management of all processes relating to the FWO’s governance bodies. The small team is comprised of a Board Secretariat and a Committee Secretariat, both reporting to the Executive Officer to the CEO.

**Typical Duties**

The duties of this role include, however, are not limited to:

- Provide full Secretariat support and administration management of the FWO’s Business Investment and Accountability Sub-committees
- Create and maintain clear, high-quality records with a high attention to detail - including meeting minutes, forward schedules, actions arising registers, and internal web pages and templates
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Executive Team, Executive Support Staff, and Board Secretariat to prepare and circulate an agenda and documents for Committee meetings in accordance with agreed timeframes
- Provide specialist advice on agency governance and decision-making processes, and maintain adherence to the relevant governance legislation
- Prepare communications on Committee outcomes
- Ensure processes are fit for purpose and adhere to the requirements of the FWO’s relevant governance frameworks
- Provide support for Board Secretariat as required

Travel may be necessary to fulfil the duties of the role.

**What we are looking for**
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the agency in a sensitive and confidential manner (this includes with senior executives and the Fair Work Ombudsman as the agency’s Accountable Authority)
- Have proven ability in managing complex administration processes and be able to provide high level administrative and strategic support for committee members and relevant stakeholders
- Be able to identify and mitigate risks associated with governance and committee decision-making
- Demonstrate sound judgement and a common sense approach to resolving issues
- Work flexibly and collaboratively, and have well developed influencing and strategic thinking skills
