2d Building Services Hydraulic Drafter

H Design Hydraulic Engineering Group is looking for an experienced Hydraulic Services Drafter to join our team of 5 drafters. Looking for a team player who is proactive, diligent and friendly.

H Design Hydraulic Engineering Group Pty Ltd is a well-respected, family-owned & run hydraulic services design firm, based in Salisbury, Brisbane. Our company was founded in 2022 but prior to rebranding have been in business for over 30 years.

Our reputation is based on our founder, Greg Hamilton’s legacy of practical solutions, integrity, and professionalism.

We design and draft hundreds of projects each year, and are busier than ever Our current team of 5 drafters can’t keep up with our current workload so we are looking for a Drafter who is ready to hit the ground running to help supercharge our team

H Design Hydraulic Engineering Group has little in the way of policies and procedures - we strive to provide the best service & design for our clients, rather than ticking boxes.

We are famous for going above and beyond and finding simple solutions to design problems. We don’t have a website so rely solely on repeat business. Our office and long term staff are friendly and professional - and we want someone with the same attitude.

**Although we would prefer to find an experienced hydraulic drafter - we would consider hiring someone who has drafting experience and who is keen to take the next step in their career.**

**Project/ experience**
- Confident using AutoCAD for 2D hydraulic designs.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook).
- Must have Australian hydraulic experience (confident with Australian standards, local authorities etc).
- Ability to prioritise projects, manage conflicting deadlines, adapt to moving goal posts, manage resources, work under pressure - all with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

**About - The Role**

**Drafting**
- Assisting Construction Managers, Architects and Surveyors in planning and organisation
- Coordinate hydraulic services designs with other service disciplines, consultant teams, etc. as required.
- Coordinating works programs
- Correspondence with contractors, other disciplines & authorities.
- Interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice
- Performing routine computations and plotting preliminary data
- Preparing preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
- Preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings
- Workflow/project planning including managing deadlines.

**General**
- Contribute to the strengthening of client relationships to ensure business growth and development.
- You will report directly to Senior Hydraulic Designer, Adam Reynolds.
- We are looking for the right fit to be a part of our team - **long term**.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- hydraulic drafting: 2 years (preferred)
