QinetiQ is seeking a dynamic individual to drive QinetiQ Pty Ltd.’s financial performance, ensuring alignment to Group Finance strategies, policies, and procedures. Reporting to the CFO, this role will focus on optimising financial operations, enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. With a strong emphasis on business partnering, financial analysis, and process improvements, the Head of Finance will provide the insights and support necessary to drive strategic decision-making and business success.
**In terms of finer detail, in this key role you will**:
Coordinate and align the finance function across various operations, reporting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and seamless integration of financial data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial data aligns with operational goals and strategic direction
Regularly assess financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence across the business
Foster a trusted Business Partnering model within the finance team, promoting strong collaboration with other departments and business units to drive business success
Oversee the preparation and publication of all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Advise on cost-effective financial solutions that align with business priorities, and develop financial forecasts and budgets to support growth and stability.
Lead financial systems projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
With regards to location, we are flexible to consider applicants from Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane.
CPA or CA certified with a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, or a related field
10 years + experience in a senior financial roles and exposure to a complex, international business environment
Strong financial management experience, with expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making that drives long-term business growth
Expertise in managing financial risks, implementing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards
A strong understanding of international tax, transfer pricing, and financial regulations across diverse regions, ensuring the company’s financial operations are in full compliance with relevant laws and best practices
Excellent skills in managing complex and diverse stakeholder expectations and interests, with demonstrated ability to influence across organisational boundaries to guide business strategy
A history of providing financial guidance to business leaders, influencing major strategic decisions and driving business and operational growth.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
