THE ROLE
The Principal Policy Officer contributes to the work of the Centre for Workforce Excellence by:

- delivering, implementing and monitoring Building from Strength: 10-Year Industry Plan for Family Violence Prevention and Response (Industry Plan)
- providing authoritative and expert policy advice and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships across government, and within the family violence and broader social services sector
- developing creative evidence-based solutions to action the Industry Plan and its associated work.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Oversee the development of policy and initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:
(a) Leading research, analysis and implementation of complex projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
(b) Managing and overseeing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
(c) Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
3. Provide high quality business intelligence, authoritative advice and sound policy recommendations to senior management and government based on comprehensive research.
