**The Veriu ‘Relief Hotel Manager’ role**:
This is a new role as a result of our upcoming openings & business ramp up. While you’ll assist with area & group level projects, your main focus is being the Hotel Manager for an allocated timeframe in the absence of the hotel’s dedicated Hotel Manager. You’ll:

- Oversee day to day operations & people management
- Maintain statutory & internal compliance
- Execute hotel sales action plans (business development activities)
- Drive bottom & top line revenue to meet (exceed) budget targets
- Collaborate with our shared HR, Sales, Revenue, Finance, Maintenance, Property & Leasing and Marketing functions
- Complete management reporting
- Implement change to ensure hotels are operating to Veriu expectations in processes and culture

The nature of this role means you could work at any of our 13 hotels for short or extended periods, based on coverage requirements. Your location scheduled will be managed by our General Manager of Business Performance, Victoria.

Our Hotel Manager role is a true Business Operator role, where responsibilities are similar to running your own local business: hands-on but with a real commercial focus. To be successful you’ll need:

- Experience in hotels in a role that manages people & drives results
- Valid First Aid & Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Reliable transport to each of our Melbourne hotels (listed below)
- Ability to adapt, hit the ground running & make an immediate positive impact
- Experience identifying gaps and the current state, and implementing change in a short timeframe
- Personable nature and natural knack for bringing people together, embedding culture and building (or enhancing) relationships
