**The Role**
An APS 5/6 Project Schedulers within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment (NSS) Enterprise Governance and Management and Functional Services Branches is accountable, under broad direction, to perform and achieve policy, program, governance and strategic management outcomes.

The Branches works in partnership with Navy and key stakeholders in the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Enterprise to deliver on key strategic priorities in support of the program of naval shipbuilding and sustainment. A Project Scheduler will have considerable level of strategic awareness, stakeholder engagement and will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders in relation to complex issues.

**About our Team**

**Enterprise Management and Governance**
The Enterprise Management and Governance Branch provides strategic advice, communication, commercial expertise and assurance enabling the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group to deliver a naval maritime capability to Australia.

The Branch is a dynamic and operates at the strategic centre of the Enterprise Headquarters, delivering across multiple streams of work including:

- Governance and reporting including the development of cabinet submissions and the reporting of achievements.
- Managing Commercial arrangements, including the management of the Naval Shipbuilding College Contract and the Maritime Insurance Program.
- Establishing continuous naval shipbuilding enablers as a program under the Defence capability program architecture.
- Coordination of ministerial and parliamentary enquiries for the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group.
- Management of the Group operating budget for the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group.
- Strategic management of the internal and external narrative for naval shipbuilding and sustainment and continuous naval shipbuilding.
- Development and delivery of an overarching data and digital strategy for the maritime domain.

**Functional Services Branch**
The Functional Services Branch provides the Deputy Secretary with the management information and assurance required in order to deliver continuous naval shipbuilding and sustainment outcomes. This is achieved through a range of enterprise-level enabling services, including program management, materiel logistics, engineering and technical, corporate services, quality management, Work Health & Safety, professionalization and is a focal point for Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group who seek expert advice under a balanced matrix operating model.

**Enterprise Management and Governance APS5/APS6 Project Scheduler**
Responsibilities include:

- Accountable for assisting the with all aspects of development and maintenance of the Enterprise Master Schedule, including analysis, evaluation and reporting for Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group
- Development and implementation of project briefs and reports for the senior management using a range of tools and techniques

**Functional Services Branch APS6 Scheduler Development Program Manager**
- Manage the entry-level scheduler development program across the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group
- Administer the completion of scheduler logbook competencies in preparation for assessment
- Respond to enquiries for scheduling assistance from program participants
- Work with assigned supervisors and mentors to ensure all entry-level schedulers have the support and tools available in order to complete the program
