Reporting to the General Manager Engineering Platform, the Executive Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business needs. This role involves strategic planning, overseeing engineering initiatives and ensures the alignment of engineering practices with the company's goals and objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to the engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Manage performance and talent processes, supporting career development and progression for team members.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Identify and execute strategic directions for technical assets and platforms.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the development and deployment of high-quality software solutions with comprehensive test coverage. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert consultancy and technical guidance across projects and delivery teams. Promote industry best practices and standards, including test automation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Provide updates to impacted stakeholders on the direction and outcomes of key decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering teams. Leverage metrics to inform improvement opportunities and seek feedback to enhance effectiveness.
- Mentorship and Development: Mentor and up-skill other engineering teams. Support the growth and capability of individuals within the engineering chapter.
- Innovation and Problem-Solving: Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving within the engineering teams. Encourage brainstorming and collaboration to develop effective solutions.

- Have experience modern testing frameworks such as BDD (Behavioural Driven Design) / TDD (Test Driven Development) and perform test transformation at large scale.
- Have experience in Software Engineering and leadership roles.
- Understand core business and technical strategies.
- Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering product and services.
- Possess excellent leadership, management, and mentoring skills.
- Have the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Can problem-solve and possess strong analytical skills.

**Technical Skills and Experience**:

- Modern testing framework and tools: _
- Extensive knowledge with test automation and streamlining software pipeline to minimise wait time and compute time.
- Deep understanding of modern test frameworks like BDD and TDD
- Perform large scale test modernisation is highly desirable.
- CI/CD (Continuous _Integration/Continuous Deployment): _
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Octopus.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, and branching strategies.
- Engineering Platforms: _
- Experience in building and maintaining scalable engineering platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Automation: _
- Expertise in automation frameworks and tools for testing, deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong focus on automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Software Development: _
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Go, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in one or more development and automation framework such as Playwright, Cucumber for BDD integrating to software pipelines.
- Experience with modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies.
- Monitoring and Logging: _
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Observe, or Splunk.

Security:

- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with tools and practices for securing CI/CD pipelines and engineering platforms.
