The** Health Translations Project Officer **(part time fixed term) will focus on our Health Translations (HT) project and support and extend the work of the current project staff. Health Translations is an online library of high-quality, consumer-focussed translated resources that enable equitable access for people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to the Australian health and social services sector through the provision of relevant and reliable information in their first language. Resources such as Health Translations that make health information accessible to non-English speakers are critically important for refugee and migrant communities, as the recent experience of COVID-19 19 demonstrates.
As part of a small team of dedicated professionals, you will manage, maintain, and support the Health Translations project, you will:
- maintain the database and its key functions.
- Review, edit, publish, and coordinate high-quality and accurate multilingual online content according to the content review schedule, which meets departmental standards.
- Undertake publishing tasks as required, work with cross-functional teams; and implement relevant digital strategies and guidelines.
**Key Selection Criteria**
Essential qualifications, attributes and skills include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated experience with web publishing using content management and other content production systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of the public, human services or community health sector.
- Experience working in a community library setting and categorising and indexing resources for the collection.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and report writing
- A qualification in information and library studies, web publishing or another related discipline, or equivalent experience, would be desirable.
Please note it is a requirement for all employees of North Richmond Community Health to demonstrate evidence of mandatory immunisations/vaccinations prior to commencement of employment, based on the Immunisation Category their position falls under. This includes 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
