**Your new company**
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks state-wide, and building and maintaining the State-owned infrastructure enabling the delivery of essential and important government services.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final piece of the North-South Corridor, the most significant infrastructure project ever undertaken in South Australia. Set to unlock Adelaide’s traffic network, the T2D Project will stimulate economic activity, support thousands of jobs and help ensure people, produce and products arrive where they need to be safer and sooner.

**Your new role**
Reporting to the T2D Engagement Deputy Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of engagement strategies, with a particular focus on building and enhancing key stakeholder relationships and providing expert cultural advice and support to achieve long-term outcomes on the T2D Project for the Aboriginal community.

With experience delivering engagement on infrastructure or other complex projects, you can think strategically and will have exceptional written, communication and relationship building skills. You are politically astute and able to proactively identify and address sensitive issues, create meaningful opportunities for community involvement and ensure the social value of the project is maximised.

Working collaboratively with other cultural liaison team members, and other individuals in the Department who engage with key stakeholders, you will ensure a co-ordinated approach is adopted and established relationships are leveraged.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Experience in establishing, maintaining and leveraging strategic external networks, fostering collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders
- Proven cultural engagement expertise in a community engagement position and experience providing engagement advice on cultural matters including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols, history, and contemporary issues relevant to communities
- The ability to provide a trusted voice to the Aboriginal community, ensuring the department is responsive to views and needs
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, delivering clear and concise content appropriate for the intended target audience
- Demonstrated experience preparing all engagement collateral, with a high level of attention to detail
- IAP2 qualifications are desirable

You must be willing to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check to be successful in obtaining this role.
