Job Opportunity: Principal Engagement Officer

This key role focuses on developing and delivering engagement strategies that foster relationships with major stakeholders.

As the Principal Engagement Officer, you will work closely with a team to build partnerships with external networks and leverage established connections.

The role requires cultural expertise in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols, history, and contemporary issues. You must be able to provide trusted advice and support to ensure long-term outcomes for the Aboriginal community.

About the Role:
  • Develop strategic plans to engage key stakeholders through collaborative partnerships.
  • Provide expert cultural advice and support to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing, maintaining, and leveraging strategic external networks. They must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to deliver clear and concise content appropriate for the target audience.

You will be responsible for preparing all engagement collateral with a high level of attention to detail. Additionally, you must be willing to obtain or hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check to be considered for this role.
