Opportunity for a Senior Information Management Coordinator to join a Local Government authority | Immediate start date, four month contract
- **You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Council’s Information Management Strategy and Roadmap**:
- **Previous experience in a leadership role is essential as you will be leading an established team and providing high-quality support and guidance to all levels of staff**:
- **Initial 4 month contract, close to public transport, 30 minutes from City on PTV.**
**About the company**:
You will be working for a Local Government authority based in the west. You will ensure council’s records and information are maintained securely, reliably and consistently, and high-quality support and guidance is provided to all levels of staff on matters pertaining to records and information management. In addition, position will lead the development and implementation of Information Management Strategy and Roadmap.
**Your key responsibilities include**:
- Leading a team of six staff to deliver IM Services and ensure team annual plans are aligned with strategy objectives, providing guidance and support
- Managing end to end life cycle of Council information (digital and hardcopy) whilst complying with external stakeholders and all relevant legislation
- Lead budget submissions and manage allocated budget in a timely and transparent manner, ensuring all programs and projects are managed cost effectively
- Promoting effective information and records management across Council. Develop and deliver staff training through various platforms and channels
- Plan, lead and implement key change initiatives throughout Council to uplift Information Management Service Delivery
- Maintain accurate statistical information, analysing trends and outcomes and providing regular reports, including recommendations aimed at ensuring continuous improvement
**You will have the following**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Management or related field with relevant experience, or lesser formal qualifications with several years relevant experience
- Demonstrated team management and leadership experience
- Proven experience in leading, designing and implementing effective records management awareness/training programs in-person, online and via intranet
- Demonstrated ability to improve user experience in managing their respective records (physical and digital)
- Previous Local Council / Government experience highly regarded
