An exciting opportunity exists for a Lead Health Information Manager who will perform a key role in the senior Digital Health & Clinical Information Services (DH&CIS) team, which is responsible for overall management of digital health support and clinical information management for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).

The position is responsible for coordination and conduct of all Health Information Management related functions across the SCHHS. The position will act as an expert professional consultant in the area of information governance including privacy and confidentiality of patient information across all SCHHS locations.
Key health information management functions include clinical liaison activities with the aim to improve clinical documentation quality; provision of relevant data and education to clinicians regarding Activity Based Funding (ABF) and funding preservation; education and support in use of key digital information systems; and advice and support in information reporting and management. Also included is review and analysis of benchmarked data to identify opportunities to improve service delivery and oversee existing health information management functions provided to non-digital health sites and facilities within the SCHHS.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Provide expert professional direction and management of the health information management functions and roles across all SCHHS facilities and services to ensure high integrity of the health record management system, information governance and adherence to relevant standards.
- Act as the delegated SCHHS-wide data custodian for access to and release of all SCHHS clinical data e.g., approved research, data access requests, external requests for access to SCHHS information systems and privacy impact assessment requirements.
- Provide expert specialist advice to key stakeholders on health information compliance issues with SCHHS policies and procedures, Queensland Health policies and Data Quality Framework, Queensland Hospital Non-Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHNAPDC) and Queensland Hospital Admitted Patient Data Collection (QHAPDC), clinical documentation, admission policies and guidelines, the ABF Funding Model and clinical information systems.
