**The Role**
The Future Air Mobility Systems Program Office (FAMSPO) Materiel Logistics (ML) Section is part of a matrixed organisation with the opportunity to gain experience across multiple projects at varying stages of the Capability Life Cycle from pre Gate 0 through to Project Closure.
Specific to FAMSPO, the APS 6 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer (Acquisition) is responsible for delivering matrix ILS support to FAMSPO projects and activities.
This includes the following responsibilities:
- Development and review of logistics artefacts including project/program ILS concepts, analyses and plans;
- Contribute to contracting and procurement activities including provision of ILS advice and briefs;
- Undertake relevant professional development appropriate to meet workflow demands for current and future FAMSPO projects; and
- Provide support to the project ILS Manager and step up when required.
**About our Team**
The FAMSPO Materiel Logistics (ML) Function provides consistent, high quality materiel logistics acquisition services to future air mobility projects, whilst providing career advancing skills, experiences and development in the workplace.
FAMSPO ML team uses a balanced matrix approach to provide the most effective and flexible use of ILS skillsets across the program in order to deliver quality and timely ILS outcomes.
Dependent on the size, length, and complexity of a project, the FAMSPO ML Function Lead will allocate ILS tasking to the team. Tasking is balanced against delivering program priorities and sustaining ILS workforce skills. Tasking is regularly reviewed to ensure the ML team can deliver on current ILS outputs and meet future FAMSPO requirements.
- Be accountable to perform and achieve complex ILS work within an integrated workforce;
- Work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes;
- Provide detailed materiel logistics technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development;
- Be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others;
- Exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes;
- Have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes; and
- Be accountable to ensure that you have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
