**About the Role**
The School of Social and Political Sciences seeks a Lecturer in International Relations (Teaching Specialist) to join our vibrant academic community. This fixed-term role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to contribute to the Politics and International Studies major and the Master of International Relations, shaping the next generation of thinkers in global politics.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation and delivery of lectures, seminars and tutorials into the Politics and International Studies Major and the Master of International Relations, in line with Faculty of Arts minimum thresholds for teaching satisfaction.
- Subject coordination including the supervision of teaching support staff where required.
- Marking assessment and finalising results in line with School, Faculty and University policies, processes, and deadlines.
- Assisting Student Services and the ASO team with Special Consideration and Academic Integrity queries and outcomes.
- Supervision of honours and graduate coursework thesis students.

**Who We Are Looking For**
We are seeking a committed and engaging educator with experience teaching at the graduate level, a commitment to inclusivity in student learning, and the ability to work collaboratively with students.

Your emerging record of research informs your teaching practice, and you demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. You actively contribute to the School’s collegial culture and engage with external stakeholders, enriching both research and learning.

You will also have:

- A completed PhD in international relations, political science or a closely related discipline.
- Proven research expertise in international relations and demonstrated excellence in teaching at the graduate level, specifically in this area_._
- Demonstrated ability to supervise honours and graduate coursework thesis students.
- An emerging record of pedagogical and/or academic research that informs and enhances teaching practice.
- Proven initiative in and commitment to identifying, collaborating and engaging with a wide range of external interests including public bodies, businesses, not-for-profits and communities on research and/or learning.
