The Early Childhood Outcomes division is leading once in a generation improvements to early childhood education and care in NSW. New reforms will reduce costs for parents, increase accessibility to child care places and improve child outcomes through universal pre-Kindergarten.
About the role:
The Executive Officer role focuses on providing high level executive administrative support to the Executive Director while maintaining a strong relationship with the Early Outcomes Division to collaborate on policy and project support.

**Key functions of the role will include**:

- Prepare, coordinate and review high level communication including submissions, briefing notes and correspondence, to respond to issues and enquiries.
- Ensure all correspondence is accurate and in line with the departments policies and guidelines.
- Work closely with the Executive Director on all communications.
- Lead projects that will support the strategic and operational objectives for the business area.
- Oversee all administrative, systems and procedural practices across the business area to ensure efficiency and best practice.
- Work collaboratively with internal networks to collate and prepare information to support the Executive Director and the business area.

- Acts with discretion and maintains confidentiality.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
- High-level planning, organisational and coordination skills.
- Experience in coordinating and preparing strategic advice, information and reports.
- Positive attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting the business to achieve its goals.
- Self-directed and highly motivated.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s **Aboriginal Education Policy** and upholding the **Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG** and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
