The Customer Acceleration Team (CAT) is part of the Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) division within Microsoft’s Security business. We work with customers from all over the world and all shapes and sizes, and we work directly with engineering to shape the product based on these customer insights. The CAT Principal Product Manager will handle technical aspects of customer and partner engagements with a focus on security and AI initiatives. This role entails providing proactive guidance, active listening, dealing with ambiguity and driving technical execution.

The key Microsoft Security products driven through our team are Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Insider Risk Management (IRM). We partner closely with our Purview Product Engineering Teams to improve our products by gathering insights from the thousands of customers we work with daily.

- Lead customer engagement alongside product and engineering teams in a first-class manner.
- Partner with product, engineering, marketing and other CxE teams across Security organization to drive strategy and execution alignment.
- Communicate clearly about initiative risks, accomplishments, learnings and opportunities.
- Comfortable and confidently deliver technical and strategic sessions and demonstrations to customer stakeholders ranging from C-Level to architects to analyst level audiences.
- Be customer obsessed, act as the customer advocate within security engineering teams to ensure customer use cases / blockers / issues / feedback and needs are properly addressed to resolution.
- Drive critical feedback, insights, customer requirements to improve the solution, drive value to customers and overall solution adoption and consumption.
- Build and maintain key relationships with customer stakeholders to drive continued confidence and trust with Microsoft.

**Qualifications**:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- Experience regarding the common challenges and opportunities within Data Security and/or SOC environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s broader security product suites including Defender, Purview, Entra and Intune.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Highly adaptable to change and comfortable pivoting in response to evolving circumstances and ambiguous situations within a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience engaging with customers and managing expectations in customer-facing roles.
- Experience delivering concise and fact-based communications / presentations both verbal and written and adapting style and level of information based on audience (C-Level, business, architect, analysts, developers).
- Experience evaluating and translating customer needs, requirements, and challenges, identifying solutions (positioning, technology, business value, prioritization), and communicating improvement opportunities to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
