**About the role**

We are looking for a paralegal or a legal assistant to join our practice. In this role, you will assist the lawyers with tasks such as:

- File and calendar management, billing
- Preparing and drafting simple legal documents such as company records and secretarial work (minutes, resolutions, certificates, notices)
- Assisting with property matters such as conveyancing and leasing
- Assisting with client communication and management
- Submitting ASIC lodgements, company incorporations, trust preparations, and other government forms
- Liaising with third-parties, other law firms, government agencies and referral partners
- Conducting legal research
- Proofreading documents

We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

- Experience working in law firms or at least other professional services firms (eg, accounting firms)
- Able to work both from the office and remotely
- Shows initiative and attempts to resolve problems independently before asking for help
- A meticulous nature and a high level of attention to detail
- Highly organised, capable of keeping track of matters, deadlines, reminders, follow-ups

**Working with us**
- Our staff’s work-life balance is extremely important to us, it would be very rare for us to ask you to work outside of business hours or put undue pressure on you to meet unrealistic targets.
- We allow partial remote work, however the expectation is to be in the office at least 3 days a week
- We are currently working from a shared office with an accounting and advisory firm, so there are lots of friendly people in the office and monthly social events.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 per year
