CCSG Legal is seeking for a talented individual to join our vibrant team, with strong technical knowledge of commercial debt recoveries. Get ready to dive into a range of engaging tasks and gain hands-on experience.
As a Paralegal, you will manage a high-volume legal practice, including file management, issuing proceedings, obtaining default judgments, engaging with clients, and providing litigation support and legal research.
We work on a hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) for a full-time employee.

Responsibilities
Here's an example of your day to day:
- Accurately record billable and non-billable hours in line with firm policies;
- Assist in preparing client communications, legal documents, and reports;
- Conduct legal research and support case preparation under supervision;
- Participate in client meetings and take clear, detailed notes;
- Manage and organise case files, ensuring documentation is up to date;
- Support court proceedings and assist with trial preparation when needed;
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties;
- Contribute to process improvements and embrace new legal technologies;
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities;
- Collaborate with team members and support firm-wide initiatives.
Requirements

- Personable, professional, and client-focused with a flexible approach;
- Proficient in legal research and use of online databases;
- Basic knowledge of insurance, insolvency, and commercial litigation terminology;
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work;
- Quick to learn new software and systems; experience with DebtCol is a plus;
- Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint);
- Certificate IV in Legal Studies or currently undertaking tertiary legal studies;
- Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent.
