About the Role
The purpose of this role to provide strategic media advice to Darling Downs Health to ensure the continued positive reputation of our health service in the community. This position is also responsible for the operational management of the media and communications team. This role requires an expert in consumer and community engagement to proactively develop mutually beneficial relations. Darling Downs Health's region is a large geographic area covering approximately 90,000 square kilometres. We are one of the largest employers in the region, with a diverse team of more than 6,000 staff. We deliver frontline health services across our 28 facilities and treat more than 85,000 admissions to hospital, see greater than 158,000 people through our Emergency Departments, support the birth of almost 3,000 babies and perform more than 19,000 breastscreens.
