Made up of collaborative, creative and committed people, our Activation and Precinct Management Team are seeking an Events Manager to manage the planning and delivery of commercial events including client management, operational coordination and logistics management to drive ongoing visitation, community involvement and commercial and recreational activities for Placemaking NSW (PMNSW) precincts with a specialist focus on the Barangaroo Precinct.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Plan and manage commercial public and private events and commercial bookings developing event management plans, operational event planning processes and schedules to ensure events are delivered within agreed time, cost and precinct objectives and meet safety, security and facilities requirements.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and clients and provide specialist event advice and guidance to influence event planning, projects and coordination and ensure identified events are achievable within the operations of PMNSW with a focus on the Barangaroo Precinct.
- Determine and coordinate operational support and logístical requirements including service provider briefings and structured handovers for commercial events delivery including overlay, security, staffing, facilities, brand management, crowd management, parking, and traffic and transport to ensure the successful delivery of events.
- In partnership with the Senior Manager Precinct and Compliance and Senior Manager Events and Activations review and assess site requirements including floor plans, event layout and coordination and other requirements to ensure events are viable, achievable and can be delivered to a high standard around competing precinct priorities.
- Manage, coordinate and engage or facilitate client engagement with a range of specialist suppliers for products and services including scoping requirements and briefs, identifying and procuring suppliers and managing delivery within time, cost and quality requirements to meet event requirements and achieve support the achievement of client goals.
- Identify and mange event risks proactively and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed and risk management activities are delivered to ensure events are delivered to a high standard within agreed budget and timeframes and meet safety and security requirements.

You will have the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines ensuring attention to detail and delivery within time, cost and quality requirements.

Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to influence event planning and delivery and ensure high levels of client satisfaction with event outcomes is key to this role.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, event management, communications and/or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
- Either possession of or willingness to gain a Senior First Aid Certificate prior to commencement.
- Clearance to work with children under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act, 2012. prior to commencement.
- Availability to work out of hours and weekends when required.
- Demonstrated experience in event management including event planning, coordination and marketing with a range of internal and external stakeholders and clients.
