**Job Title**: Accounts Officer

**Location**:Yatala, Queensland

**Salary**:$75,000+ Superannuation (Negotiable based on experience)

**Employment Type**:Full-time, Permanent (Flexible with hours)

**About the role**:

- Process accounts payable invoices and payments in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes, including preparation of journals and accruals.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support to the finance team and assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

**About you**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB or Xero ideally) and Microsoft Excel.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
