**Position**

The Clinical Lead - Anaesthetics role offers an exciting opportunity for highly skilled and motivated medical professionals who view challenges as opportunities and are passionate about improving healthcare in the complex world of modern health systems. The right applicants will play a critical role in developing healthcare at both patient and system levels.

**Hospital**
The region of Tasmania services a population of approximately 116,000, with medical services primarily located at the two facilities. Both sites offer acute and sub-acute services, with busy emergency and general medical departments. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as Paediatrics, are primarily located at the NWRH, with outpatient services available at both sites.

While both hospitals offer anaesthetic services, they are primarily based at the main facility as a result of on-call services. This hospital also provides a busy general orthopaedic and general surgical service, while the other focuses primarily on day surgery cases. Additionally, a purpose-built ward at the secondary site provides rehabilitation services, and there are extensive outpatient services for a range of subspecialty services.

Nestled along a pristine coastline, this city boasts a thriving infrastructure and a lively shopping district that extends to the beach, offering delicious seafood and coffee. The local countryside is celebrated for its exceptional produce, including award-winning cheese available for purchase at the factory outlet, and whisky that can be sampled at the cellar door. There are also delightful restaurants to enjoy, as well as well-stocked delis to indulge in gourmet delicacies.
