**The Opportunity**:
Urbis has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our growing Heritage team in Sydney

As a trusted Heritage advisor, you will have the opportunity to partner with clients on a range of projects. You will also be a key member of the Heritage management team and will play a lead role in supporting staff development through on-the-job coaching and mentoring and overall solid people management and leadership skills.

**You will**:

- Providing expert heritage, architecture, fabric and statutory planning advice to clients;
- Achievement of revenue targets that comprise both Personal Fees and Work Under Management, through strong service delivery and project management;
- Assisting with forecasting, project budgeting and financial management;
- Supporting the delivery of strategic Heritage projects and other national initiatives;
- Supporting the Heritage Directors and team in the delivery of projects;
- With others, providing technical and management support to the Heritage team (and staff members) on a day-to-day basis, ensuring committed projects are, and remain, commercially viable;
- Supporting Directors to achieve 'whole-of-office' business plan outcomes, in conjunction with other Business Units;
- Proactively identify opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across Sydney and the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects;
- Generating new work and sustained and profitable business performance, through the maintenance of, and building upon, existing and potential client relationships and professional networks, across a range of industry sectors;
- Nurturing and developing individual staff members, through effective coaching and mentoring

**About you**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture/Heritage or related area
- Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment
- Experience in on-the-job coaching and mentoring of others
- Experience with business development activities, including winning new or repeat business
- Strong written (including report writing) and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates ability to confidently lead complex proposals and tenders;
- Demonstrates ability to resolve issues directly with clients and deliver projects dealing with complex heritage issues;
- Demonstrates an advanced appreciation of Australian historical architecture and building fabric; and
