**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a tenured and qualified Associate Director with a strong client focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver technical excellence to join our Sydney team as part of the wider national heritage team. We are looking for someone with a passion for Archeology who is wanting to develop their career. As a key member of the management team, you will have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, contributing to reports and providing advice to our clients.

**You will**:
As an Associate Director within the Sydney Archeology team, you will be responsible for supporting the Director further growing the archaeology offering in the Sydney office. You will:

- Have an advanced understanding of historic and Aboriginal archaeology, heritage and statutory planning principles at the strategic and technical level and to be able to provide practical advice on a strategic level on a range of archaeology projects.
- Support the director(s) in growing the National Heritage Team and the archaeology offering.
- Manage large and complex archaeology projects, and support One Urbis projects in collaboration with other Business Units.
- Demonstrate exceptional research, interpretation, report writing, people management and communication skills.
- Assist in the undertaking of projects, client and other stakeholder relationships and work to specification and deadlines.
- Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, leading various size of teams working to specification, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome.

**About You**:
You bring to the table a minimum of ten years' experience in a similar role and have competency in:

- Using decisive and transparent communication to keep team and clients informed of progress.
- Acknowledging and encouraging diversity of opinion and contribution in all relevant forums.
- Fostering a flexible, inclusive environment encouraging everyone to be themselves.
- Seeking out opportunities to collaborate across teams/business units on multi-team/disciplinary projects.

- Taking responsibility for the actions of team members and consistently implements development or remedial action if needed.
- Successfully managing client priorities and expectations.
