**Your new role**

The College looks to this Risk and Compliance Officer to advance a strong risk management, compliance and safety culture in all areas of its operation. Reporting to a Director, this role provides guidance and advice for risk and compliance matters. Further to this, the role will be tasked with;
- Managing and maintaining the College's risk and compliance programs, including the registers, policies and procedures.
- Supporting the College to meet the legislative, regulatory and reporting requirements of relevant bodies, including VRQA, WorkSafe and government.
- Fostering and imbedding a culture of risk management and compliance for continuous improvement.
- Manage monitoring and reporting, including changes in risk, breaches and incidents, and develop comprehensive reports for the Leadership and Committees as appropriate.
- Ensure the appropriate management, reporting, review and escalation of risks, breaches and incidents, and other areas of risk management across the College within appropriate timeframes.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Relevant qualifications within Risk, Compliance, OHS or similar.
- Significant experience in a similar environment/organisation and role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and interpreting legislation/regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to actively lead and manage a culture of risk awareness, compliance and health and safety
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all members of the College community
