EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

**About the Opportunity**

EnergyCo’s Strategy and Relationships team are seeking to appoint a Manager Strategic Relationships, responsible for development and delivery of strategies to engage and inform key stakeholders to help EnergyCo deliver its core business, build support for its strategy, and shape its future direction.

The role supports EnergyCo’s Strategy & Policy Division, leadership, and Chief Executive, by developing expert advice and building strong relationships with senior Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap partners, agency Secretaries and their representatives, Minister’s Offices, governing boards, industry bodies, companies and investors, and other influential stakeholders. The role will include effectively and efficiently managing emerging issues with often short turnarounds to resolve.

The manager leads a small team and is responsible for coordination and collaboration within EnergyCo and across whole-of-government, interjurisdictional and energy infrastructure delivery entities.

**About You**

To be successful in the role, you will have a track record of managing and integrating policy, regulatory and delivery activities - particularly within the broader strategic policy framework of the energy sector - and driving strategy and stakeholder engagement aligned with government policy direction.

As a confident leader with strong written and verbal communication skills, you have the demonstrated ability to service and manage the expectations of the Government and the Minister, strategically balancing and resolving conflict between competing priorities, policies, programs and stakeholders, and act as a lead advisor to EnergyCo’s Board and Chief Executive in developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

You take a collaborative approach to gaining engagement and agreement from a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and develop timely strategic messages to proactively manage critical issues in a sensitive and complex political environment.

A deep understanding of energy policy and strong existing relationships with electricity sector stakeholders would be highly desirable, but not essential. Experience leading teams, managing a portfolio of engagements, delivering projects and developing strategic messages is also valuable.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, government relations or other relevant discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
