**Description**:

In this consultancy role you must be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a client facing environment, working within an established team to assist in delivery of services. MBM Quantity Surveyors get the opportunity to work on high-value, diverse and interesting projects alongside masters of the construction industry.

**Responsibilities include creation and delivery of**:

- Initial budgets and benchmarking
- Elemental and trade-based cost plans
- Bills of quantities
- Pre-tender estimates
- Tender analysis
- Bank reports
- Tender methodology advice
- Value engineering to client briefs including challenging client views when appropriate
- Progress claim recommendations
- Bank draw-down reports
- Variation valuations
- Other work as required

- Feasibility Studies: Undertaking feasibility analysis and advising on project scope and definition;
- Cost Planning and Estimating: Prepare cost plans, advise on cost implications, undertake value management;
- Bills of Quantities: Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities for tendering and construction administration purposes;
- Procurement, Tender Evaluation and Contract Negotiation: Advise on optimal procurement strategy, select best contractors, and evaluate tenders received;

**Skills and Experiences**:
The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 2-4 years’ local experience in a Quantity Surveying role and will have the following attributes:

Ability to meet deadlines
Analytical skills
Attention to detail

**Required Skills and Experience**:
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience working in Australia as a client-side QS
Graduate of an accredited Quantity Surveyor degree course
Previous experience working for a client-side Quantity Surveying Consultancy, providing the full range of project experience and the duties performed for all major projects
Experience in using CostX and Excel
High level verbal and written communication skills
Client facing skills
