In this role you will direct and participate in the concept, design, delivery, and support of complex data integrations with Marine customer assets and equipment enabling predictive analytics and Customer Value Agreements. **JOB DUTIES**:

- COGMD Field Support for Eastern Hemisphere
- Tier 3 Support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Product Support team
- Work with Cat partners to support and ensure Voice of business for NPI and CPI projects
- Ensure proper training and support of Cat dealer’s ability to install, configure and commission PLE’s for COGMD digital services
- Conceptualize, develop, and design industrial data integrations for Marine equipment.
- Identify and define requirements for Marine telematics and data transmission
- Coordinate with and support the Marine CVA delivery team. Support dealer development through training and identifying best practices for Marine digital deployments
- Maintain technical liaison between Caterpillar and dealers; design and promote new components and sub processes
- Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas; evaluate new products or processes; perform product maintenance; keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies
- Communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other units; and support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers and suppliers
- Engineers must manage their own development, continuously learning through experience and staying abreast of technology
- Identify, investigate and resolve significant field issues to maintain and improve assigned digital product performance
- Support division's business plan. Develop training materials within budget.

**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:
**Required qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments Expert understanding of common SCADA protocols in the Marine space:NMEA0183 NMEA2000 J1939MODBUS TCP/RTUTCP/IPOPC
- Expert understanding of various electrical communication standards CANEthernet RS232/422/485
- Expertise with Caterpillar telematics products a plus Experience and understanding of wireless transmission technologies applicable to Marine assets
- Experience and familiarity with control systems and electrical data interfaces common in Marine industrial environments
- Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages:Python Bash Java Nodejsothe
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, agile culture
- Knowledge of condition monitoring - tools and services
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing initiatives across multiple business units
- Knowledge of Customer Value Agreements
