Then you could be the perfect Staff Specialist to join the professionals at Justice Health NSW. Specifically, we’re looking for applicants that are eligible for or current registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or other recognised speciality as provided for in the Staff Specialist (State) Award. Someone with demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in the management of patients with complex acute and chronic primary health issues. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health NSW, this position provides specialist assessment and ongoing care of patients with acute and chronic primary care health issues in correctional campuses administered by Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) in accordance with best evidence based practice and organisational policies. The role and responsibilities are to be carried out in a manner that is consistent with Network delegations, policies, procedures and operations systems, and in line with both the NSW Health and Network Codes of Conduct.
