**Position Summary**:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Staff Specialist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant will be responsible for service standards, patient throughput, continuing education, research, training of staff and students as well as liaison with key stakeholders and other relevant professional bodies. **Selection Criteria**:

- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Possess, or be eligible to possess, specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia and obtain a provider number from Medicare to practice as a specialist in Australia.
- Possess either Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent as provided for in the Health Insurance Act 1997.
- Credentialed for PET reporting through the CJCT.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of practice in Nuclear medicine commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated management ability in clinical service planning, and in the provision of a patient focused, comprehensive, high quality and cost effective clinical service with knowledge and commitment to the implementation of best practice and clinical service innovation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills that support and foster innovation to create a learning culture, with proven ability to improve the quality of services and patient care outcomes including ability and commitment to undertake basic human resource management functions including performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent practice experience in working congenially and collaboratively as both a leader and member of a multidisciplinary team, and as a provider of services that engender high levels of patient satisfaction and experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching at specialty registrar, junior medical officer and undergraduate levels and ongoing contribution to the development, dissemination, and translation of new knowledge and practices commensurate with work in an academic teaching hospital environment.
