Are you a compassionate Social Worker ready to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families during times of illness and trauma?

Join our dynamic team at Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) within the Wyong Hospital Community Paediatric service and provide quality community and in home Paediatric Social Work services and be a crucial part of delivering optimal health outcomes and psychosocial care for children and families.

With a deep understanding of the psychosocial challenges that can accompany experiencing complex illness and/or disability, you'll provide comprehensive assessments, crisis management, and brief interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of children and their parents/carers/families. Your ability to adapt communication styles, work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, and prioritise competing demands will ensure the delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

**About You**
- You will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number). A demonstrated understanding of the current AASW Practice Standards as they relate to Inpatient Social Work.

**Where you’ll be working**

This Community Paediatric Social Work position is based at Wyong Hospital and will enable you to further your current knowledge and gain a broad breadth of community based Social Work practice. From providing emotional support, working within a multi-disciplinary team, working with children/families/carers and internal and external service partners to facilitating smooth transitions through the healthcare system, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling service users to achieve quality outcomes that best meets their needs.
