**YMCA Head Office** is recruiting an **Internal Auditor **on a full-time**, permanent** **basis** to join our team located in **Fortitude Valley, QLD.**

As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for performing internal audits as per the existing audit program and develop reports to show the effectiveness of current practice, as well as to highlight areas for improvement. You will also provide audit recommendations, ensuring follow up and the satisfactory implementation of agreed recommendations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Performing audit work requested by the Executive, Lead Risk and Compliance in accordance with our existing audit program.
- Provide input on opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Audit function.
- Ensure that systems are functioning effectively and in accordance with approved policies and procedures through analysis and reporting measures.
- Safeguard against fraud and unethical practices by tracking and maintaining the existing audit program and identifying recommendations for improvements.
- Report any identifiable risks for immediate escalation and action.
- Maintain confidentiality of all YMCA information, records and files.
- Liaise with YMCA’s External Auditor on Internal Audit reliance matters.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Understanding of financial recording systems.
- Achievement of YMCA’s Safeguarding Children Training Certificate.
- Possess, or be willing to obtain, a positive notice Blue Card A current driver’s licence
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Professional qualifications to a CPA/ACA level (desired, but not essential).
