- Build and/or develop core capability in the custodial operational training function to ensure high quality training is sustained
- Lead and manage a team of senior training officers located at the academy and across Queensland to ensure a high performing and cohesive custodial officer recruit training
- Provide constructive feedback and support to trainees being assessed
- Oversee the training program quality for consistency, fit for purpose, improvements and alignment with overall agency objectives to ensure this meets operational and RTO requirements
- Build productive working relationships with end users (correctional centrev.au management and staff) to ensure service levels and training quality are being delivered
- Manage internal quality management system processes including document control, data management and policy revisions to ensure we meet legislative and agency standards
- Develop a training reporting framework, to incorporate trend analysis and identify emerging training requirements to ensure program development and delivery mitigates QCS against risk
- Work with QCSA management and stakeholders to develop annual operational training plans and priorities and monitor their execution
- Participate in annual auditing processes to ensure QCS meets its obligations as an RTO- Ensure that staff training and professional development opportunities are provided to ensure staff are equipped with skills and resources to operate effectively
