**The opportunity**

ASIO is seeking to fill a number of paralegal roles within our Legal Services Division. Our Legal Services Division is a busy, fast-paced practice with a supportive and collegiate culture.

Successful applicants will work alongside our lawyers and other professionals to support a range of tasks associated with litigation, legal advice and operational support.

A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months.

**Role responsibilities**

As a Paralegal Officer in ASIO, you will:

- Provide administrative support to the Division and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
- Draft legal documentation and other correspondence.
- Assist with case management and document preparation.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal issues to support lawyers and other professionals in Legal Services Division.

- Administrative experience - legal practice experience will be well regarded but is not essential.

**Location**

These positions are located in Canberra and Sydney. Applicants would be required to relocate to Canberra or Sydney if successful. Relocation assistance is provided to successful applicants where required.
