Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.
An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Social Worker to join our the Social Work Department at Austin Health. The Grade 3 will have advanced clinical skills and will work clinically with paediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The Grade 3 is a clinical leader and supports a team of social workers. Together with their peers and Grade 4, the Grade 3 Social Worker will undertake activities that support the operations of the department and support the Allied Health strategic direction. Such activities include helping to lead a social work student portfolio and program (overseen by Grade 4), participating in quality assurance activities relevant to the portfolio and facilitating education (staff and students). The Grade 3 is also an active contributor in various teams, and is expected to use their clinical expertise to support decision making and innovation.
