Financial Analyst with SAP wanted for NSW Govt team in Parramatta - financial accounting and budget analysis

Your new company

A government organisation with high priority projects is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst with strong Financial reporting and budget analysis to support the team during high workloads due to year end and project deadlines. Requires SAP and advanced Excel.

Your new role

Working in a team of 4 who support the wider business with project and financial analysis your key duties will include:

  • Financial reporting & Analysis - revenue recognition and expenditure analysis to a detailed transactional level
  • General Ledger and Balance Sheet analysis
  • Project accounting and analysis
  • Budget review from bottom up to consolidated level
  • Cost analysis and insights to project managers on financial positions
  • Ad hoc queries from treasury and auditors as required
  • Indepth reconciliations and adjustments
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial information across project accounting and project management systems.
  • Dashboard reporting

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong background in financial accounting and analysis within government or a large complex, multi project environment
  • Qualified CPA or CA
  • SAP and Advanced Excel
  • Strong communication skills - working with external providers and internal senior leaders
  • Available to start at short notice
